Parsons Area Community Foundation Announces 2026 Giving Tuesday Match Day

The Parsons Area Community Foundation (PACF) is preparing for its annual Giving Tuesday Match Day, a community-wide celebration of generosity that provides an opportunity for individuals to support local organizations while helping build permanent charitable resources for the future.

This year’s Giving Tuesday Match Day will take place on Tuesday, December 1, 2026, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the LCC Cardinal Event Center, 1306 Main Street in Parsons. The event will bring together local organizations, donors and community members for a day focused on giving back and strengthening the community for generations to come.

$50,000 Matching Pool

For 2026, the Parsons Area Community Foundation will provide a $50,000 Match Day pool to increase the impact of donations made to participating organizations.

Gifts made to participating organizations during Match Day will be eligible to share in the matching pool. Matching funds will be distributed proportionately based on each participating organization's percentage of the total eligible gifts received.

Early Online Giving Begins November 17

Donors who want to get an early start can make their gifts online beginning Tuesday, November 17 at pacfgivingtuesday.com. Online giving will remain available through Giving Tuesday on December 1.

Donors may support one or multiple participating organizations, and there is no minimum donation amount. Every gift makes a difference and helps strengthen the permanent charitable resources available to local organizations.

New Organizations Have Until October 15 to Participate

Local nonprofit and community organizations interested in participating in the 2026 Match Day are encouraged to establish an endowed fund with the Parsons Area Community Foundation.

The deadline for new organizations to establish a fund and become a 2026 Match Day participant is October 15, 2026.

To establish an endowed fund and participate in Match Day, an organization must make a minimum initial contribution of $5,000. The initial contribution may be requested back by the organization once outside contributions, together with matching funds received through PACF, meet or exceed the initial contribution.

Contributions made by donors become part of the organization's permanent endowed fund, with earnings from the fund providing support for the organization year after year.

Organizations interested in establishing a fund should contact the Parsons Area Community Foundation at 620-421-0723 or director@parsonsareacf.org as soon as possible to allow adequate time to complete the process before the October 15 deadline.

Giving Opportunities

On Giving Tuesday, community members will have several ways to participate, including:

  • Online giving through pacfgivingtuesday.com
  • In-person giving at the LCC Cardinal Event Center
  • Curbside check collection for those who prefer to remain in their vehicles
  • Cash, check or credit card donations at the event
  • Mailed checks, provided they are postmarked by December 1, 2026

Every donation helps support local organizations and strengthens the community's philanthropic resources for years to come.

A Community Tradition of Giving

PACF's annual Giving Tuesday Match Day has become an important tradition in the Parsons community, providing an opportunity for residents, businesses and supporters to come together in support of organizations serving the area.

The 2026 event continues that tradition with a $50,000 matching pool and a full day dedicated to generosity and community support.

“Giving Tuesday is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together and support the organizations that make Parsons and the surrounding area such a special place to live,” said Becky Dantic, PACF Executive Director. “The generosity of our donors has a lasting impact, and we look forward to another incredible Match Day in 2026.”

Community members are encouraged to mark their calendars for Tuesday, December 1, 2026, and watch for additional announcements from the Parsons Area Community Foundation highlighting participating organizations and opportunities to give.
