Labette Health Foundation Brings Comedy to Parsons Municipal Auditorium
The Labette Health Foundation is pleased to announce their 2026 fundraiser, Comedy for a Cause, featuring Dr. Brad Nieder. All proceeds from ticket sales for this event will be used to support the mission of Labette Health.
Dr. Nieder is an M.D. who is also a stand-up comedian and performs throughout the U.S. He has been entertaining and inspiring audiences through his own brand of clean healthcare humor for nearly two decades. He has been called “the Funniest Doctor in America” and “Jerry Seinfeld with an M.D.” Dr. Brad has been known to skewer such topics as healthcare lingo, diet plans, pharmaceutical ads, medical marijuana and scrubs. He’s even been known to break into song.
His performance in Parsons will be held on Saturday October 24th, at 7:30pm in the Municipal Auditorium. Doors open at 6pm.
"In past years, we have held our gala as our fundraiser, which was very well supported by the community, but this year we have decided to try something totally different," said Gary Hogsett, Executive Director of the Labette Health Foundation. "All proceeds from this fundraiser will help us to pursue our core value of providing excellent healthcare in Southeast Kansas".
This program is being made possible with the financial support of the following very generous sponsors: Commercial Bank, Crossland Construction, Dr. Stephen and Wendy Miller, Bowen Pharmacy, FirstOak Bank, Mike Carpino Ford, Wall Funeral Homes, Butch and Gayle Holum, Dr. Kevin and Jen Mosier, Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, and Richard L. Hines, P.A.
Tickets can be purchased on the City of Parsons website at parsonsks.com/pay-for, by phone at 620-421-7032, or in-person at the Parsons Municipal Auditorium box office - first floor, water office. Prices range from $25 to $75.
